3-Day of the Famous Masai Mara

This is a 3 days safari visiting the most famous national park in Kenya. The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the best places in Africa for wildlife viewing. Game drives are a great way to experience the park and they take place all year round. If the big cats are what you’re looking for on your Kenyan safari, you are guaranteed to spot them in the Mara. For bird lovers, the Mara birds come in every colour and size with more than 400 bird species, including birds of prey.

Detailed itinerary

DAY 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Met on arrival at the airport or be picked up from the hotel after breakfast at 7:00 am. You’ll be briefed by our safari manager and drive through the floor of the Rift Valley to the world-famous game reserve, the Masai Mara. You’ll be arriving at camp or in time for lunch. At 4:00 pm, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the camp.

DAY 2: Masai Mara National Reserve.

Enjoy a full day in the reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives at 6:30 am and 4:00 pm respectively. The Mara is the northern extension of the Serengeti and its rolling plains are home to hundreds of plain game together with predators that feed on them. All meals and your overnight stay are at the camp.

DAY 3: Masai Mara National Reserve – Nairobi.

Depart the Mara after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving early in the afternoon. Have lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant, justifiably referred to as Africa’s greatest eating experience, having twice been voted amongst the World’s 50 Best Restaurants by a UK-based restaurant magazine. Drop off will be at your hotel or airport for your international flight back home.
